Here we have the Livonia Avon & Lakeville RS1 Engine. Carrying a road name that is one of our own local ones - Atlas Model brings you the RS-1. One locomotive from this production run has an interesting history. In 1949 20 were purchased by Lake Erie Franklin. One was later sold to Livonia Avon & Lakeville in 1972. This engine is still in service today and has the distinction of being the first ALCO diesel locomotive acquired by Livonia Avon & Lakeville which went on to amass an all-ALCO roster.
