Norfolk & Western (black and yellow) Auxiliary Water Tender. Commonly called “water bottles” or “canteens,” this large capacity tender was used between the 1930‘s and 1950‘s to expedite freight delivery by reducing the number of stops required for water pickup. Previously offered in HO scale, these models are perfect companions for the N scale Class J 4-8-4. Features include: operating directional lighting, dummy knuckle couplers, front and rear, and N scale NMRA wheel profile.
